Activities

Our activities depend on the season of the year, what needs to be done and in what way we can help the park staff. Typical Winter work involves hedgelaying and woodland work plus indoor activities such as wood carving. Typical Summer work includes keeping footpaths free of vegetation. We even have a group of bee keepers. All the year round there is gardening around the park buildings. Some tasks like bee keeping and publishing the newsletter and web site are specialised but there are many activities which are easily learnt. Many volunteers have no previous experience.
